Stickers for My Blog

I got contacted by BuildASign. For the people who don't know BuildASign, they are an e-commerce that makes signs from banners to flags using innovative technology. They customize to the customers' expectation of what they what from their design. Once the customers create their design, BuildASign produces the product within minutes.

They gave me an opportunity to choose anything from their website. I wanted something small to advertise my blog. Once I decided on the 4x4 bumper stickers, I had the hardest time deciding on a design. After getting an idea, they gave me an opportunity to design more than one... wheee~ How nice of them! :)
I decided on three designs and came up with these. When I received these in the mail, OMG they're amazing! The quality of these bumper stickers are excellent!!! They exceeded my expectations. :)
This is my first design. Yes, I used my own pictures for the bumper stickers. What better way to advertise my own blog with my own pictures! :) The middle picture, my eye, is my profile picture at the moment. The first design is also on the sidebar on the right.
Here's my second design.
My last design.

The quality of these bumper stickers are amazing! They are very professional and I definitely recommend these. Even though they're bumper stickers, it doesn't mean it's only for the bumper of your car. You can use these on any other things. ;)

They're having a promotion on BuildASign for 10% off on all products. Use promo code: WISECUPID2 until March 6, 2010.1

Thank you BuildASign!!! :)

Kirkland Wipes and Ulta Event

I've been in search for makeup wipes for some time. The one makeup wipes I really like is GEO, but it's one expensive brand. I honestly believe when it comes to wipes, you can buy cheaper and it still will be good. That's just my opinion. :X I recently got a huge box from Costco and think it's about time I review it.
Product Review: Kirkland Daily Facial Cleansing Towelettes

Where can you purchase: Costco
Price: $11.49 for 150 6 X 8 in.

Made in USA

Description on the back: Daily Facial Cleansing Towelettes are the easiest, most effective way to get a complete skin care regimen. Use daily to deep clean skin and thoroughly remove make-up, dirt and impurities. Your skin is refreshed, while also nourished and moisturized. No rinsing necessary.
Ingredients:
My thoughts: I first saw this at my sister-in-law's vanity table, and was curious to know about it. My sister-in-law liked it enough that she bought another box from Costco. It intrigued my interest, because I know that I'm pretty bad with smell. She's worst than me! I cannot stand the smell of most of the makeup wipes. They all smell very flowery-like which I don't like. I'm more a fruity type of person. :)

After buying this from Costco, I was amazed at how many packages were inside!
There are four 30 counts resealable flip top lids. I like that it has a lid! Most wipes don't and I can see air going into the package without the lids if you don't close it well. With these lids, you cannot make a mistake or at least I think so.
There also two 15 counts travel packs. I like how the travel packs has less and weighs less so you can carry with you. I think it's a genius idea to put in the travel pack as well. :)

Now for the wipes, I think it's very well made. It's very sturdy! On the box, it says it's made with chamomile. Ahhh~ That makes sense because that's the flower I smell. It's not very strong fragrance which is a big plus to me! Most fragrances are so strong that I cannot endure it, and sometimes it stings. Yes, I am that sensitive. :P It cleans really well as well. :)

Pros:
* Pretty decent price.
* Comes with a lid.
* Travel pack.
* The wipes are well made.
* The fragrance isn't strong.
* Works well and removes makeup.

Cons:
* Flowery smell but it's light.

Would I repurchase: Yes.

This past Saturday my Ulta had an small event. Kym Johnson from "Dancing With the Stars" came to promote "Dancing With the Stars" hair pieces.
I knew she was going to be there and I went just to see how she looked in person. As soon as I enter Ulta, she was right there smiling at me. Everyone around her turned around to look at me. I didn't know what to do but go ahead and speak with her. :X She's so skinny and tall in person! I do have to say she is extremely sweet. :)

After speaking with her, couple of the girls who were with her put "Dancing With the Stars" hair piece on me. They told me to look around Ulta and when I came back, Kym Johnson was gone. :/ I asked the girls who did my hair if I should give it to them. They told me to keep it. How nice!!! :)
Here's the hair piece. It looks very natural and it's really shiny! I wanted to take a picture of it on my head, but  none of the pictures came out well.
I had one of my nieces, the fourth one, model it for me. I tied her hair in a bun and put the hair piece into the bun. It looked really good on her! :)
Of course, I had Tobey model it as well. :X He wasn't very happy. He tried to take the hair piece off with his paws. I told him I would give him a cracker if he modeled it. He would do anything for food! :)

Disclaimer: The products mentioned in this post are bought with my own money except for the hair piece. They gave it to me for free. I am not affiliated with any company nor getting paid to advertise any products. This post is written with my honest opinion.

Happy Valentine's Day, Physicians Formula Blush, and Nom Nom Truck

I hope you spend it with someone special! It doesn't have to be with your boyfriend/girlfriend or husband/wife. Valentine's Day is to spend and show how much you love the people in your life. I usually like giving stuff to my father, Tobey, and anyone special. :)

I've seen so many YouTube videos, as well as, blog mentioning the Physicans Formula Happy Booster blush. I don't blame them since it's really adorable. I had to get one myself. :)

Ingredients:
My thoughts: In all honesty, I wanted this blush for the packaging. Can you say the packaging is cute!?!?
Look at all those adorable, colorful hearts! It's also perfect for the Valentine's season. I also love that the whole packaging is pink, even though, it's not my favorite color I still like it. :)

Other than the packaging, is this worth it? I keep hearing YouTube reviews, as well as, blogs and most people actually like this blush. This is my second blush from Physicians Formula. The first blush I received as a gift from an ex-blogger (I miss chatting with her! For some reason, we lost touch. Probably my fault. :( ). To be honest, that was actually my very first product from this brand. I fell in love and think highly of this brand. I think it's very underrated in the blogging world. Most people don't buy from this brand and I don't know why. :/ Anyways, I was really intrigued since it received good reviews.

Now that I know this blush is good, as well as, adorable; I know it's worth it or at least from what I have heard. Before I talk about the blush, let's finish talking about the packaging. Beneath the blush, there's a layer with a mirror and brush.
The mirror is worth it if you carry the blush with you. Otherwise, I think most people would use their vanity mirror.
The brush, on the other hand, I think it's not worth it but that's me. I just keep the brush in there just for the cuteness. How cute is the pink and red!?!?

Now talking about the blush, it has different layers of colors depending on where you use. I like how it's versatile in color of pink/rose.
I swatched the blush from different areas. The left one is swatched from the lightest color and the middle is from the darkest. The right one is where I swiped all the colors together. I also noticed from the areas of the blush, some are more shimmery than other parts.

It also has a violet scent, but I don't think it's noticeable or at least to my nose. This is coming from someone who's very sensitive! I can throw up from a bad smell very easily. :X Anyways, I don't notice the smell while putting this on my cheeks.

They also said it's a Happy Booster. I don't know if I agree. It doesn't change my mood from my experience. :/ Yes, I'm happy to apply this because of the cuteness. Other than that, the minute I put this on my mood doesn't change.

Here's how the blush looks on me.
I think it looks natural depending on how much you layer. I also think it lasts for pretty decent amount of time. :)

Pros:
* Physicians Formula; I think the brand is pretty decent.
* Cute packaging! Who wouldn't love the different colored hearts and pink packaging.
* Has both shimmer and not shimmery parts.
* Has different layers of pink.
* Violet scent that isn't strong.
* Long lasting.

Cons:
* Cheap brush.
* Not too sure about happy booster.

Would I repurchase: Yes.

I'm going to end this post with a picture of Vietnamese sandwich, bahn mi, from Nom Nom Truck. I've been wanting to get this for the longest time. Every time I thought I was going to go and get this sandwich, something happens. It finally happened that I got to taste this!... wheee~ :)
Here's pork bahn mi. I'm not a pork eater, but the people in front of me recommend it. I had to get it since that's what they all recommended. :/ It was really delicious, but I really regret eating this afterwards. I prefer beef or chicken next time. :)
I also got chicken taco. It was really good! :)

I definitely recommend Non Nom Truck!!! Check out their website to see if they're around you. ;)

OPI in Black Shatter vs. Barry M. in Nail Effects, and CVS Clearance Sale

The recent craze has been shattered/crackled looks including me. :D I thought it would be nice to compare the two shattered/crackled nail polish I own.
OPI in Black Shatter on the left and Barry M. in Nail Effects on the right. I bought the OPI but was blessed to have received the Barry M. Thank you Trinh!!! :) Can you see the covering of the top other than silver for the OPI and gold for Barry M.? The crack is pretty interesting and true to the cover in my opinion. I will go into it more later.

OPI in Black Shatter
Direction:
Overall look:
I apply Black Shatter on top of the OPI in Not Like The Movies; another nail polish collection from the Katy Perry.

Barry M. in Nail Effects
Direction:
Overall look:
I applied Barry M. on top of Zoya nail polish in Midori. Midori is such a gorgeous color!

Now you have an idea of what each nail polish is about. Not very different I might say! Now let's compare it side by side.
I did not apply base coat on these fake nails. I really don't think you need it for the shatter/crack look. I applied two coats of OPI in Pink Flamenco. Then you let it dry. That's really important! If you apply it wet, I believe the effect doesn't happen.
I apply one coat of the shatter/crack nail polish. When you take the brush out, PLEASE don't brush it on the side of the bottle. You need thick application of the nail polish for it to crack properly. I used Barry M. on the left fake nail and OPI on the right fake nail. The shatter/crack nail polish will instantly crack in front of your eyes with a matte finish. You can leave it that way or apply a top coat. It is up to you. :)
I personally like it shiny, therefore, I applied a top coat. Barry M. is still on the left and OPI is on the right. Can you see the difference? I know I can. :/ Barry M. cracks more, as well as, you can see the under base color (pink in this case). Whereas, OPI cracks less and you see less under base color.

In conclusion:
* If you want more under base color, I recommend Barry M.
* If you like more the black shatter and less under base color, I recommend OPI.

I personally recommend getting one shatter/crack nail polish. It's such a cool concept!... hehe~ :)

Couple of weeks ago, I posted my CVS clearance sale haul. After that sale, I would hardly find anything on clearance anymore. One particular CVS by my house put out more clearance sale items. I don't know why or how, but I am happy they did... lol~ :)
Here's what I got.
I've heard good things about the Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer and they had two left; beige or dark. I'm a little too light for dark, therefore, I decided to grab beige.
Here's a swatch of the concealer. It's a little too dark for my winter skin, but I think it would be fine for the summer. Unfortunately, I doubt I would review this concealer since it's discontinued. I don't know why when so many people like this concealer. :/
I also grabbed L'oreal HIP Kohl Eyeliner in #803 Brown Kohl.
It's such an interesting concept. The brush looks like it is made for liquid eyeliner, but it's not. It's loose pigment. So far I have only tried this once and have mixed feelings. :/
Here's a swatch of the eyeliner. It's the perfect brown eyeliner I was looking for! I'm wondering if these are discontinued too, but I haven't heard. Do you guys know?
