Kryolan High Gloss Brilliant Lip Shine

I was fortunate to receive full sized products from GlossyBox. If you don't know about GlossyBox or curious to know what I received, read my post. I wrote everything you need to know. ;) One of the products I received was Kryolan High Gloss Brilliant Lip Shine.
Product Review: Kryolan High Gloss Brilliant Lip Shine in Toffee

Where to purchase: online at
Price: $18.10 for 0.135 oz/ 4 mL

Made in Germany

Description from GlossyBox brochure: This lip gloss is filled with pearl pigments that supply your lips with extraordinary radiance. *Exclusive to Glossybox before Kryolan's US launch.
Thoughts: I've always heard of Kryolan, but I never tried their products. It makes it difficult to try products that isn't reachable or at least that's what I think. :X To be honest, this is the product I was most excited about seeing in the GlossyBox! Not only was I excited about Kryolan, I was ecstatic about the color!!! It's so my color. :)

Here's how the color looks in natural light.
A swatch of the color. It's on the peachy-beige color. Speaking of color, it's very opaque. I wasn't expecting that especially with the color choice. I'm pretty impressed, and a little goes a long way with this lip gloss.

Not only do I like the color, it smells heavenly! When I first tried it, it reminded me of coffee, but a sweet scent like vanilla. It's also not overbearing when it came to the scent. It lasted a good minute or two.
Most lip gloss either comes in a sponge-tip applicator or a brush. This one comes in a brush. It's actually pretty fitting since the color is so opaque. The brush helps spread the lip gloss on the lips.
To top it off they have their cute logo on the top of the packaging. I really like their logo! It's so unique and adorable. :)
Here's how the color looks on my lips. I also think this is a perfect color if you want to put on the middle of your lips to add a pop of shine and color! ;)

* Kryolan; professional makeup brand.
* Cute logo.
* Comes with a brush applicator.
* Smells like coffee.
* Scent isn't overbearing.
* Color is opaque.
* Long lasting.

* Hard to find in stores.
* Not too sure what the color choices are.
* On the sticky side.

Would repurchase: Yes!
Rating:  4.5/5 Tobey's Paws

Thank you Kryolan and GlossyBox!!! :)

Anjolee Jewelry

Please don't forget to enter Aveeno Energizing Body Lotion Giveaway. It ends May 19, 2012 at 11:59 p.m. PST (Pacific time).

I want to wish every mother out there Happy Mother's Day!!! :)

I love finding new websites since there are so many in this world of technology. I recently found Anjolee. Anjolee is a manufacturer of high-end diamond jewelry with over 35 years experience. Their philosophy is "dedicated to providing the top level of service to its customers." They have trained customer service representatives, committed to customer satisfaction, high quality images with 360 degree angle, and guarantees the quality of their products will go beyond expectations. Not only that, but they have A+ rating with Better Business Bureau (BBB) and conforms to Kimberly Act of 2003. If you don't know what Kimberly Act of 2003 is, it's a "law adopting the Kimberly Process which requires all US diamond retailers to buy all their diamonds from manufacturers who have documentation warranting that the diamonds were obtained through legitimate channels." It doesn't hurt to try since they also have 30 day money back guarantee.

Once you decide to buy from this website, you get to select your own design from the many choices.
They have diamond bracelets,

diamond pendants, and so on from earrings to rings. Then you get to customize the metal (yellow gold, white gold, or platinum), the diamond weight and quality, and the size. The best part of this website is that you, the customer, is in control of your own jewelry!!! :)

Out of the ones from sampling beauty products, I was most excited about GlossyBox. The best part they recently launched in the U.S.!!! :)

Here's the inside of the package.
Now for the gorgeous box! I'm really in love with the box. It's extremely sturdy, durable, and just plain pretty. :)
Here's the inside of the box. I wanted to show you the box before I talk about the products.

Inglot AMC Lip Paint

Please don't forget to enter Aveeno Energizing Body Lotion Giveaway. It ends May 19, 2012 at 11:59 p.m. PST (Pacific time).

When I attended The Makeup Show, I bought a few things. My biggest haul has to be from Inglot.
They're mostly eyeshadows which I will post about it in a future post. For now, I'm going to review a lip product I bought.

Where to purchase:
Price: $12 for 4.5 g/ 0.16 oz

Made in Poland

Thoughts: Being a blogger as well as reading blogs, you hear about brand names that I will not originally know about. Inglot is one of those names people do not know about or at least from my experience. To make it worst, it's also hard to find here or especially where I live. I either have to drive really far or buy it online. It's hard to buy something you have never seen in person. For that reason, I was really excited when I heard Inglot was going to be at The Makeup Show! :)
I'm not the biggest fan of lip pots, but this one really stood out to me. The reason why I don't love pots is that you have to put your finger into the pot or use a lip brush. I use a lip brush and I hate how dirty the brushes can get especially if you change colors so often. The mixture of colors do not give a true color on your lips. For that reason, I tend to use lip products that you don't dip your finger into or use brushes. Plus it's not sanitary safe. Even with all that, I still got this lip pot. I just fell in love with the color and the pigmentation!
Here's how it looks with natural light. I have to say it's true to this color.
Here's a swatch of the color. Isn't the color gorgeous!?!?
Here's how it looks on my lips. The color is very opague which I'm in love with! I guess that's why they call it a lip paint. I'm not too sure on that so don't quote my words. If you're curious what AMC stands for, it's Advanced Makeup Components. The name is perfect for the lip paint as well.

I'm a huge lip gloss person so I love shiny lip products. I wouldn't stay it's extremely shiny, but it's definitely not matte. It's about average to really shiny depending on how much you apply. If you don't like sticky products, this isn't for you. It's sticky but not too sticky. It's perfect amount of stickiness if that makes sense. The stickiness of a product tend to make it last longer.

The best part of this lip paint is the smell. It's heavenly! It's on the fruity side and it only lasts for a minute. The scent while I'm applying it makes me happy. I'm not too sure why but I love the initial application! :)

* Inglot; brand people rave about.
* Pot has a tight seal.
* Comes in a variety of colors.
* Smells fruity.
* Pigmented.
* Sticky; lasts longer.

* Hard to find stores.
* Comes in a pot.
* Not sanitary; needs to put finger or use a lip brush.

Would repurchase: Yes!!!

I haven't bought a jewelry in such a long time. For that reason, I want to post this up.
I bought this earring from Forever 21 some time ago.

Aveeno Smart Essentials Nighttime Moisture and Aveeno Giveaway

I actually received this last year, and forgot all about it until this winter. My bad! :X I always believe it's better to do it now than never do it at all. I thought it's about time I review it since I'm almost done with the product.

Where to purchase: drugstores, mass merchandiser, or online at
Price: $14.99 for 1.7 oz/ 48 g

Made in NJ

Description on the back:
oil-free - hypoallergenic - noncomedogenic

Get great, healthy looking skin when you moisturize at night. Diet, free-radicals, environmental toxins, and a hectic lifestyle can lead to stressed skin that looks dull and tired. Formulated with antioxidant Southernwood extract, Smart Essentials nighttime moisture infusion helps keep what's good for your skin in, and what's bad out. It replenishes skin's moisture barrier while you sleep so you can wake up to skin that feels refreshed, renewed and ready to take on another day.

Smart skincare that knows what your skin needs and what it doesn't because:

it keeps the good in
* Hydrates your skin to help offset dryness caused by environmental stressors
* Helps support the natural moisture reserves of your skin during its nightly renewal phase, leaving your skin feeling soft and smooth
* Infuses skin with a blend of antioxidants and vitamins

and the bad out
* Fortifies your skin's moisture barrier to hep resist the attack of daily environmental stress
Thoughts: When it comes to night creams, I get really excited! With my aging skin, I feel that I need more of a thicker product. I was really excited to get this. The reason why it took so long to use this is that I feel that once you open up a product, you have to use it right away or else it won't be as effective. That's only for skin care. I don't feel that way with cosmetics. Once it's open, germs can go in and the air inside the sealed package will not be the same. Since I was using a night cream, I waited until I could use this.

The first thing I did once I opened the package is smell the product. I'm not too sure what the smell is. It's definitely floral. In all honesty, it bothered me in the beginning since I'm not a floral person. After a week, the smell did not bother me at all. I actually don't mind the smell. :) If you're a floral person, this is perfect. Even if you're not a floral person, it might not be bad. I'm just sensitive when it comes to smell.
Now for the consistency of the night cream, it's on the creamier side. It isn't thick but it actually hydrates pretty well! I like how it spreads on the face, as well as, the cooling sensation. It definitely helped me with my dry, winter weather. I recommend this for someone who is mid to dry skin. I actually think it's pretty good for normal skin as well

I love that it's oil-free. I cannot stand products that have oil. I'm not too sure why we would want to put oil on our face. Most people including myself want the dry, glowy skin rather than greasy, oily face. I could be wrong on that. :X

It also has vitamins A, C, & E, as well as, antioxidants. These are suppose to help your skin resist the daily environmental stresses.

* Aveeno; a brand that uses natural ingredients.
* Vitamins A, C, & E.
* Antioxidants.
* Oil-free, hypoallergenic, noncomedgenic, & dermatologist-tested.
* Get use to scent.
* Creamy texture.
* Hydrating.
* Help resist the attack of daily environmental stresses.

* Floral scent; only if you don't like.

Would repurchase: Yes.

Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Natural Lipstick

In March, I attended The Makeup Show. You can read my post about the event. I was one of the few who attended the Blogger Preview. I feel very thankful to witness this great event. Not only did I learn a lot during the event, they gave all of us a swag bag. This will be my first review from one of the many products we received.
I don't know if you can tell there's a lipstick on the right corner of the picture. I received the lipstick, as well as, the academy catalog. Before I talk about the lipstick, I want to mention the catalog. It has non-stop pictures of makeups done on models. Can I say how gorgeous they are! Here are a few of them.
I love how simple the makeup is, at the same time, it's so romantic.
Not only does the model have gorgeous blue eyes, I love how they put the petals around the eyes. It looks so lively and clean.

Now for the review...

Where to purchase: Sephora stores,, and specific stores
Price: $19 for 3.5 g/ 0.12 oz

Made in France

Description from site:
What it is:
An ultra-creamy lipstick with a translucent soft, shiny finish.

What it does:
Enriched with nourishing properties, Rouge Artist Natural keeps lips hydrated for eight hours after application. Its incredibly smooth texture glides on effortlessly for ultimate comfort while also leaving the lips supple and moisturized. Formulated with mother-of-pearl and colorful pigments, Rouge Artist Natural's translucent shine adds a natural sheen to the lips.

What else you need to know:
This lipstick is available in an array of fresh, luminous shades with two finishes: satin and pearly.
Thoughts: When I first received this, I was pretty excited! Not only is it a brand I trust, I received a color I like. My experience with receiving lipsticks, they tend to be a color I hardly wear like red. It was great to see a lipstick that I can see myself wear on daily basis! :)

Before I talk about the color of the lipstick and the product, let's focus on packaging. Most lipsticks tend to have their logo on one side of the top. Make Up For Ever has it all around. I think that's pretty interesting and unique.

It's a pretty simple design and the brand name definitely stands out.
Here's the bottom of the lipstick. They gave me N19. From my experience, Make Up For Ever works with letter and numbers. They hardly write the color on the products. The one I got is Iridescent Icy Pink. The colors are listed on a fact sheet I received. Unfortunately, a lot of the colors are not sold in Sephora stores including the one I received. This one is sold in Make Up For Ever NYC Studio, LA Boutique and Boutiques at Sephora Soho, Venetian, and South Coast Plaza.
Here's how the lipstick looks in natural light. I think it's more true to this color than the flash picture taken above. Only thing I noticed is that it looks matte in this picture. It's actually on the semi-shiny side.
Here's a swatch of the color. Isn't it gorgeous!?!? I love how natural it looks, at the same time, it gives of shine. :)
Here's how the lipstick looks on me. My lips are not this pink.

The lipstick is very creamy as you apply it. In my opinion, it's a lot creamier than most lipsticks I know. One thing good about the lipstick being creamy is that you do not have to put pressure while applying. Since it's so creamy, it lasts a good hour to three depending on if you lick your lips or eat something. If you eat or lick your lips, it will not last that long.

It also moisturizes your lips. If I had to compare this to Revlon Lip Butter, I can't say one is better than the other. They're pretty equal when it comes to moisturizing. My lips get better throughout the day, as well as, how frequently I apply it.

* Make Up For Ever, a brand I trust.
* Logo all around.
* Variety of colors.
* Gorgeous colors.
* Creamy.
* Semi-moisturizing.
* Shiny.

* Letter and numbers; never list the name of the color.
* Not all the colors are located in Sephora stores.

Would repurchase: Yes.
